The famous village of Appledore in North Devon is the location for the 17th century Free House which is the Seagate Hotel. Sitting at the mouth of the Torridge Estuary this charming fishing village hotel has a lot to offer guests, having its own superb restaurant, and a public bar. |

You will be surprised and delighted to find that the hotel is quite literally on the promenade and is just a hop and a skip from the sea its self. The hotel is as charming on the inside, as it is on the out, with comfy traditional rooms, which are well appointed and maintained.

Each room has its own en-suite, and is equipped with a colour TV, a complimentary selection of hot beverages, and a hairdryer. You can choose from single, double and even a family room for your stay in delicious Appledore, however, as with all properties of this age and character, the staircase in the hotel is quite narrow, and therefore unsuitable for guests who are less mobile.
Even though the hotel is facing the sea right on the sea front you will be quite cosy and warm, as the sea facing rooms all have secondary double-glazing.

A fantastic full English breakfast, or continental breakfast is served daily, and the Two Rivers Restaurant is the perfect location for a long luxurious lunch or a romantic dinner in the evening.
The menu has of course a fine selection of local fish dishes, and a Sunday carvery, which has a choice of roasts and plenty of vegetables to go with it.
Then round off your meal with a delicious home made desert, followed by a nightcap in the bar.

The snack bar serves food daily, and is ideal for a light lunchtime bite with a drink, or in the warm summer months the patio is the perfect spot for watching the waves with a glass of something refreshing and some nibbles.
